We endeavour to despatch books in stock within 24 hours of the receipt of the order. If the book et al is not in stock, you will be advised by email how long your order will take to be dispatched.

If you are dissatisfied with the condition of the books etc. then please email or telephone us within 48 hours of receipt with the specific complaint. Once the return of goods has been agreed, then please despatch immediately to us and a full refund will be given upon receipt of the goods plus the return postage charge.

In the case of secondhand books we always give as full as description as is possible relating to the condition of the book and dustjacket. However, we prefer to see the book first of all (if as a result of a booksearch) rather than arrange a dropship direct to our Customer, so that we may double-check the condition. Of course we will refund our Customer if the book is not 'as described' but we still request that you contact us within 48 hours of the receipt of the book to arrange the return. Once agreed, the book should immediately be returned to us and a full refund plus return postage will be refunded.

Credit cards will only be deducted when the books etc. are ready for despatch, and the receipted invoice will be found inside the front cover of the book. If payment is by cheque, then we will wait for the clearance of same through the bank before despatching the book. If a Customer has insufficient funds to clear the cheque, a surcharge of £30 will be made to cover the bank charges returning the cheque to us.
